Elixir leaked coach
Elixir leaked is elixir you were owed and never got, because your bar was already full. It's one of the clearest signs of a losing habit.
Updated
Your elixir bar caps at 10. Every moment it sits at 10, the elixir you would have generated is lost. That lost amount is your elixir leaked.
A little leak at the very start of a match is normal while both players feel each other out. Leaking in the middle of a match, or in double elixir, hands your opponent a free advantage they didn't have to earn.
What usually goes wrong
- Waiting for a perfect cardHolding a full bar until your win condition comes around in the cycle is the most common source of leaks.
- Freezing after a big defenceAfter a hard defence, players often pause to watch the field. The bar fills while you watch.
- Not playing in double elixirThe bar fills twice as fast in double elixir, so the same hesitation leaks twice as much.
What Mercina looks for in your match
- Your elixir leaked total, front and centre in every match breakdown.
- The stretches of the match where the leak happened, so you know which habit caused it.
- Whether a leak came right before a push you couldn't answer.
A plan for your next match
- 01At 9 or 10 elixir, play something, even a cheap card in the back.
- 02Use the leak number from your last match as the score to beat in your next one.
- 03In double elixir, decide your next play before your current one lands.
Mercina writes a plan like this from your own match, every time.
Questions
Is any elixir leak acceptable?
A small leak at the very start is common while you wait to see the opponent's first card. After that, aim for as close to zero as you can.
Where can I see my elixir leaked?
Mercina shows it in every match breakdown, next to your actions per minute and the timestamped moments that explain it.
