Golem Beatdown coach
Beatdown trades tower health early for one push the opponent can't stop. Timing is everything.
Updated
Golem decks start a slow push from the back, stack support behind the tank, and aim to arrive at the bridge with more than the opponent can answer. Taking some early tower damage is part of the plan.
The risk is the other lane. Every Golem from the back invites the opponent to rush the opposite side while you're low on elixir.
What usually goes wrong
- Golem at the back with no elixir leftDropping Golem at low elixir leaves you nothing for the opposite-lane rush.
- Support too early or too lateSupports that arrive before the tank die; supports that arrive late leave the tank alone.
- Pushing before double elixir without a reasonEarly pushes give the opponent time to answer. Many beatdown wins come in double elixir.
Playing against Golem Beatdown
- Punish the opposite lane the moment Golem is placed at the back.
- Kill the support troops behind the tank; the tank alone does little.
- Keep a high-damage answer for the Golem itself, and place it so the tank is pulled.
What Mercina looks for in your match
- Pushes you started at low elixir that left the other lane open.
- Support troops that arrived too early or too late.
- Elixir leaked while you waited for a push.
A plan for your next match
- 01Only place Golem at the back with enough elixir to defend the other lane.
- 02Time your support to reach the bridge just behind the tank.
- 03Save the biggest push for double elixir unless the opponent is clearly low.
Mercina writes a plan like this from your own match, every time.
Questions
How do I beat Golem decks?
Pressure the opposite lane when Golem is placed at the back, then deal with the support troops before the tank. Mercina timestamps the moments you missed that window.
